When you have mental clarity, you can think straight and deal with problems in more efficient and effective ways.
When your mind is fully active and engaged, you’re able to remain productive and working through problems is a breeze. When you feel worried, anxious or stressed your mental clarity is affected, and you can feel lost and have a sense of drowning under all the thoughts going around in your mind.
Things that can affect your mental clarity include:-
- Lack of sleep
- Poor diet
- Poor all-round self-care
- Lack of movement mental as well as physical
- Poor work-life balance and not taking time out for yourself
Why Mental Clarity is Important
- It reduces self-doubt – when you doubt yourself you will find yourself constantly asking questions to seek approval from others. You feel you’re not able to make wise decisions. You start worrying about what other people think about you and what you are doing. Having clarity helps you to have confidence in the decisions you make.
- Helps you to effectively prioritise – mental clarity helps you to think straight to sort quickly and efficiently through situations and easily prioritise what needs doing and by whom.
- Calm your mind – with a calm mind you can more easily create focus and direction in all areas of your life. You will not feel lost and as if you are stumbling from one thing to another. You will have more clarity about your goals, intentions and what you want to achieve.
- You get more done – you will find yourself reducing the number of times you say yes to extra things. You’ll know how much you have to do and whether you have time to take on more tasks. You will be able to work through everything more effectively and efficiently.
- Better sleep – when you’re able to focus and manage daily situations with more confidence, things that previously cause you to feel stressed will no longer be kept you awake at night. You will wake up feeling mentally and physically energised.
Clarity Hour
When your routine has been thrown out the window because you’ve taken too much on, you can start to feel like you’re chasing your tail. You start overthinking, you have thoughts spinning around in your mind that are now keeping you awake at night and you begin to feel overwhelmed by it all. Your disturbed sleep affects how you function the next day and self-doubt starts to kick in as each day you achieve less and less.
When you have mental focus you can deal more effectively and rationally with situations that have the potential to cause you to feel stressed and overwhelmed.
My Clarity Hours are designed to help you reduce the time you spend dwelling on all the things you feel you must do. They will help to put a plan of action in place that gets you moving in the right direction, in a focused and structured way. This will help to reduce feelings of self-doubt and give your self-confidence a boost.
