My Self-care Journey
From time to time we all struggle with finding time for our own needs. Like many women, putting myself first doesn’t come naturally. Whilst working full-time, with 2 children, a home to run and all family members having full-on social lives, time for myself was at the bottom of the pile and doing things just for me made me feel uncomfortable. I felt frazzled and I wasn’t always a nice person to be around!
Things changed when illness forced me to look at how I was caring for myself – mentally, emotionally and physically. Whilst ill, I looked for small, consistent actions I could take every day that would help me to feel more positive about myself and my life and help me find my mojo again. Routines around self-care were vital.
This book will show you some simple steps on how you can do the same. Don’t wait until you’re ill too. Put yourself on your to-do list now!
